Main purpose of job:
To lead, manage and deliver multi-discipline Industrial Services campaigns across coatings, insulation, scaffolding, rope access and associated Fabric Maintenance scopes. The role ensures safe, efficient and profitable execution of projects across UK and international operations whilst supporting business development and divisional growth.
Location: Great Yarmouth office or Montrose office.
Relationships
Reports to: Operations Manager / Director
Responsible for: Industrial Services delivery teams (Coatings, Insulation, Scaffolding, Rope Access)
Liaison with: Clients, supervisors, inspectors, operational staff, HSE, commercial teams, recruitment, Dubai operations, and all company stakeholders.
Main tasks of job:
Operational Delivery
Lead and manage the end-to-end planning and execution of Industrial Services scopes across offshore, onshore, yard-based and renewable assets.
Develop and deliver execution plans, workpacks, schedules, RAMS, resource plans and progress tracking.
Ensure operational compliance with NORSOK M-501, SSPC, ISO, ICATS, CISRS, IRATA, TICA and client specifications.
Oversee day-to-day performance of supervisors, inspectors and multi-discipline delivery teams.
Monitor productivity, quality, progress and adherence to scope and budget.
Ensure high standards of QA/QC including surface preparation checks, WFT/DFT readings, holiday testing, insulation QA, and scaffold tagging.
HSE Leadership
Promote and lead a strong safety-first culture across all Industrial Services activities.
Conduct audits, site visits, toolbox talks, incident investigations and ensure close-out actions.
Ensure compliance with client and statutory HSE requirements across all workfronts.
Resource & Workforce Management
Manage Industrial Services personnel including supervisors, technicians and IRATA teams.
Support recruitment, competency tracking, training, mobilisation and performance management.
Ensure adequate resource availability aligned to project schedules and client requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives throughout execution.
Attend project meetings, progress reviews, technical discussions and offshore visits.
Maintain clear communication on performance, risks, commercial matters and planned work.
Commercial & Financial Control
Support cost control, forecasting, progress measurement and commercial reporting.
Ensure accurate timesheets, material usage, equipment utilisation and variation management.
Provide operational input into tenders, pricing strategies, methodologies and risk assessments.
Contribute to improved project profitability and operational efficiency.
Business Development & Growth
Support BD in identifying and developing new Industrial Services opportunities across coatings, insulation, scaffolding, rope access and FM campaigns.
Engage with existing and potential clients to identify upcoming campaigns, shutdowns and long-term FM contracts.
Assist with tendering, estimating, proposal development and client engagement.
Promote N-ERGISE’s Industrial Services capability to strengthen client relationships and secure repeat work.
Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency improvements and scalable growth within the division.
Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance and assurance across all Industrial Services disciplines.
Review method statements, TQs, specifications, drawings and inspection reports.
Ensure consistent delivery aligned with client, legislative and industry requirements.
Person Specification:
Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
Formal coatings qualification — minimum NACE Level 1 (NACE Level 2–3 or ICorr Level 2–3 preferred).
Relevant training/qualifications in scaffolding, insulation or rope access are an advantage.
Experience
Demonstrable experience in Fabric Maintenance / Industrial Services delivery within offshore, O&G, renewables or industrial sectors.
Proven career progression from execution → supervision → project or operational management.
Experience managing multi-discipline teams across coatings, insulation, scaffolding and rope access.
Strong background in delivering FM/IS campaigns, ideally including shutdowns, campaigns or large-scale maintenance scopes.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of NORSOK M-501, SSPC, ISO standards, ICATS, IRATA and CISRS.
Competence in QA/QC practices such as surface prep inspection, DFT checks and insulation QA.
Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
Project Management
Experience delivering multi-discipline FM/IS scopes with responsibility for planning, execution, cost control and reporting.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent workfronts under pressure.
Leadership Skills

Able to lead supervisors and field teams to deliver safe and high-quality outcomes.
