Main Purpose of Job
To lead, manage, and grow all operational activities for N-ERGISE’s Dubai division, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of Industrial Services across Coatings, Insulation, Scaffolding, Rope Access, and Fabrication/Shipyard scopes.
The Operations Manager is accountable for day-to-day operational performance, technical oversight, workforce leadership, client engagement, and the delivery of profitable, compliant projects.
This role is central to the next phase of business growth in the UAE, including strengthening N-ERGISE’s capability and expanding presence with major regional operators, fabrication yards, industrial contractors, and energy-sector clients.

Responsible for: Supervisors, Foremen, Technicians, Inspectors, IRATA Level 3s, Operational Support Staff
Liaison with: HSE, QA/QC, Commercial, HR, Finance, Project Delivery, Supply Chain, and all client operational representatives.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Lead all operational activities across Coatings, Insulation, Scaffolding, Rope Access, and Fabrication/Shipyard projects.
• Ensure project delivery meets required quality, safety, schedule, and technical standards.
• Oversee planning, resource allocation, mobilisation, and on-site execution.
• Maintain operational readiness, ensuring materials, equipment, and manpower are managed effectively.
• Drive operational discipline, performance culture, and continuous improvement across the division.
Technical Oversight & Compliance
• Serve as the senior technical authority for coatings, insulation, access, and fabrication scopes.
• Approve and oversee ITPs, IPS, RAMS, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with NORSOK, ISO, IRATA, and industry-specific technical standards.
• Oversee inspection, QA/QC processes, and ensure documentation is consistent, structured, and audit-ready.
• Lead technical problem-solving and support supervisors in resolving site challenges.
Project Delivery & Execution Management
• Manage multi-discipline project teams across fabrication yards, industrial sites, and offshore scopes.
• Monitor project progress, mitigate delays, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong site presence.
• Ensure accurate reporting, daily logs, progress updates, and close-out documentation.
• Lead operational interface with clients during kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and audits.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure aligned planning and delivery.
Commercial & Financial Accountability
• Hold full P&L responsibility for the Dubai operations.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, labour costs, productivity, and margin performance.
• Support tendering and commercial submissions by providing operational inputs, man-hour estimates, and methodology.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and protect profitability.
• Ensure commercial variations, change controls, and additional scope opportunities are captured and communicated.
Team Leadership & Workforce Development
• Build, lead, and develop a skilled multi-discipline workforce.
• Oversee recruitment, competency development, and upskilling for coatings, insulation, scaffolding, RA, and fabrication trades.
• Ensure supervisors and foremen are delivering strong leadership and high operational standards.
• Implement performance management, coaching, and clear accountability across the team.
• Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and high technical standards.
Client Interface & Relationship Management
• Act as the primary operational contact for UAE-based clients.
• Maintain structured, professional communication regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Support the development of long-term client relationships to enable repeat business and sustainable growth.
• Ensure N-ERGISE is represented positively in all client-facing engagements.
• Identify new operational opportunities, additional works, and value-add services.
Strategic Growth & Future Development
• Support the expansion of N-ERGISE’s Industrial Services across emerging UAE sectors.
• Contribute to operational capability for future frameworks, long-term contracts, and regional service lines.
• Drive readiness for increased demand across fabrication yards, energy operators, and industrial facilities.
• Assist with capability statements, operational inputs for bids, and the positioning of N-ERGISE as a preferred contractor in the region.
Collaboration & Reporting
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment across operations, HSE, QA/QC, HR, and Commercial.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational performance reports, KPIs, resource forecasts, and financial updates.
• Support UK operations when required for joint project delivery or mobilisation assistance.
• Provide structured operational insights to support executive decision-making.
Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum 10–15 years’ operational experience within Industrial Services (Coatings, Insulation, Scaffolding, Rope Access, Fabrication).
• Strong background in fabrication yard, shipyard, or heavy industrial project environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-discipline teams (50+ personnel).
• Strong knowledge of NORSOK, ISO standards, IRATA requirements, and industrial HSE frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, operational planning, and commercial input.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• High-level organisational capability, with strong reporting and documentation standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and operational planning tools.
• Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
Desirable Attributes
• NACE Level 3 / AMPP Senior Coatings Inspector qualification.
• IRATA Level 3 (or strong oversight experience of Rope Access operations).
• Experience with offshore, marine, fabrication, or EPC project delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence managing senior client stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify additional scope or operational improvements.
• Proactive, disciplined, and able to build strong operational culture within the team.
