How has the company grown or transformed since you first joined?
The company has changed quite considerably in the 9 years and 2 months since I joined in July 2015. At that time, the company had only just started and were very much focusing on the Offshore Decommissioning market and were successful in securing some interesting and large contracts in that market. At that time there was only 3-4 of us. The team was very efficient and successfully developed a strong recognition in the industry as being highly experienced in decommissioning and in some cases, clients would use N-ERGISE as a baseline expertise within this market. π
From those early days the company developed and progressed into the renewables and nuclear markets successfully executing some extremely large and complex projects within those industries. π±βοΈ
Along with decommissioning strengths N-ERGISE developed extensively in terms of the provision of services specific to Fabric maintenance i.e. Painting, supply and erection of scaffold, Inspection in terms of NDT, CVI, DVI, supply of Rope Access, welding, pipefitting, rigging, Electrical and Instrumentation, along with innovative design and fabrication. Again, always with small project team. π οΈ
The company has certainly changed in terms of the scope of services we currently provide but the strategy of a small efficient projects team with an out of the box approach to problem solving remains. π§©
N-ERGISE is known for innovation. How does N-ERGISE stay ahead in such a rapidly evolving sector? π
N-ERGISE stays ahead mainly by integrating the experiences of all personnel within the team and drawing from a broad spectrum of all industries and applying this along with unique thought in every approach to every project. Quite often the innovative approach is in plain sight but is often constrained by a blinkered approach. N-ERGISE does not have a blinkered approach and thrive on the belief that everything is possible drawing on an integrated experience. π
What specific innovations are you most excited about right now?
I am hoping we can further develop the remotely operated and automated high pressure cold cutting systems we designed and built for NRS in the Nuclear decommissioning industry and possibly extend this to other industries where cold cutting is a requirement. The opportunities are quite vast. π€
From a client perspective, what makes N-ERGISE the go-to choice for project delivery, welding, and NDT services?
The N-ERGISE Engineering team have vast fabrication experience and have over the years developed a catalogue of in-house Weld Procedures which supports all the welding activities, we engage qualified and experienced welders and have the support of a very experience welding engineer within the Project team. We have inhouse NDT procedures which cover all aspects of Inspection requirements i.e. MPI, UT, CVI, DVI, Phase Array etc. We are reliable and our reporting is without question the best. In addition, we are commercially competitive. π
Since joining, Tim has seen N-ERGISE transform from a small team focused on offshore decommissioning to a multi-service company with expertise in renewables, nuclear, and fabric maintenance. Despite the growth, one thing remains consistent: the company’s innovative approach and commitment to quality and safety. π§π±
