We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee the operations at our new Aberdeen office.
Position Overview: The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all operational activities at the new Aberdeen office. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the energy sector, particularly in offshore and onshore operations. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality, while also supporting the growth and development of our Aberdeen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations at the Aberdeen office, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
Safety and Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) across all operations. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and development opportunities for staff.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. Proactively identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients.
Resource Allocation: Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Financial Management: Manage the budget for operations, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-effectiveness. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, risk assessments, and resource needs. Ensure projects are executed according to plan and address any issues that arise.
Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs), financial status, and any significant challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and quality.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management within the energy sector, with a focus on offshore and onshore operations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the energy sector, including operational best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to anticipate challenges, develop solutions, and implement them effectively.
Client Focus: Strong client-facing skills with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
